Social learning events at Communal Table Wellness are like workshops. But they are built on real life experiences with the goal to help you solve a problem, not just jamming you with more information. Host(s) play the role of facilitator instead of someone bestowing knowledge onto you. Activities that foster interaction between participants are an important part of each workshop so we can tap into the collective wisdom and creativity that bubble up when we’re in community.
You’ll walk away feeling more connected and confident with skills that you can put to use right away.

Over our lifetime, we collect rules about all kinds of stuff. Some are helpful — like looking both ways before crossing the street. And some are arbitrary — like not swimming right after eating.
With food, most of us collect rules that can greatly influence the way we eat. Not only do they shape our eating habits, they can also mold our relationship with food and ourselves.
At this community event, you’ll: identify one rule that no longer serves you, learn to create a plan for breaking that rule, and leave with a confident and sound strategy to free yourself from the rule.

Let’s be real — meal planning requires a giant amount of work. It can also rob us of being spontaneous and going with what sounds good in the moment. In this workshop, you’ll learn about a different framework that allows for more flexibility in your meals while making sure you still have a game plan.
Leveraging the power of collective problem solving, think of this workshop as your personal strategy session. You’ll leave with creative solutions for making balanced meals that are wholesome, affordable, and exciting!
